#31HoliDays Day 4 | Fair Isle Prep – THE PREP GUY

Hey Prepsters,

It’s day 4 of #31HoliDays and there’s no print more suitable for the Holiday season than the fair isle. I have a major obsession with fair isle, and unfortunately, it only seems to be popular during this season… total shame! But this month, I will be sharing a few different ways to wear the print! For this specific look, I wanted to sleigh with a Preppy look, head to toe! Do note that for non-holiday seasons, you can easily switch out the fair isle print sweater for a cable knit or solid knit sweater!

The Fair Isle Sweater

I found this tan fair isle sweater at the J.Crew Factory store for a really reasonable price! If I recall, I purchased this alongside another print sweater for $35 each! You can find similar print sweaters almost every where, from Ralph Lauren, RW&CO, to H&M! Everyone seems to be Fair Isle crazy! The base of this look was created with an Original Penguin cotton herringbone tie, and a Joe Fresh oxford shirt.

The Casual Blazer

This flannel-esque blazer from Joe Fresh is beyond comfortable! It also makes for a great layering piece. Adding this piece adds structure to the look, without making it too formal for the white jeans. You can find this piece at Joe Fresh for $79!

The Perfect White Jeans

Now I have a little background story on this pair of white jeans. Being a gent of a particular size, finding the right pair of white jeans can be near impossible for a reasonable price. Luckily, after class one day, I went to the new Uniqlo store and stumbled upon these. Out of curiosity, I asked a customer rep if they came in my size, and to my surprise they had it! Additionally, what made me LOVE Uniqlo so much more is that they offered free in-store tailoring for all pants over $19.99! I believe these were also only $59.99 #Miracle.

Completing the look

To complete the look, I paired it with a pair of tan Hush Puppies brogues. Not only are these super stylish, but they’re really comfortable. Finally, I threw on a pair of Spine Optics Aviator sunglasses, which is a revolutionary brand known for their spine hinged tech.
