TPG JOURNALS: New Year Resolutions and Goals

Hello Friends! This is a new segment that I am writing to let you all know a little bit more about myself and where I plan on taking my blogging career this year. For those who didn’t know, I started my blog in April of 2013 as a personal style journal, which became public later that year. The idea of the blog was to just talk about things that I liked in fashion, however, in 2014 it became much bigger than that. I started to collaborate with major national and international brands, covered fashion events, designed a limited edition bow-tie for a brand, shared opinion pieces and style advice, to an audience of what is now 100,000+ people per month. Even though it has been doing incredibly well and I am extremely grateful to all my readers for it, in the year of 2015, I want to be doing a lot more. There are so many outlets that I want to work with and be a part of. Some of them include freelancing for magazines on a more consistent basis, providing my tips/thoughts on television/radio and other forums, and also building a proper v-log channel on youtube. I am also committed to bringing better articles/posts/updates for my readers!

In 2013 year I was coming to head with a lot of personal challenges in my life; such as weight, anxiety disorder, moving on from old friendships, school and even money. But it was because I was giving up on a lot of things and losing focus of what was important. Last year I finally started gaining that focus and regaining the ambition that I once had to continually grow and become a better person. This year; I want to continue to be better and do better things. Some of the goals I listed above are based on my blog – business. However, some personal goals I wanted to share with my readers include: losing 60 lbs, living a healthier and more active lifestyle, getting better grades in school and also finding an internship within the fashion field. I know it may sound like I am biting more than I can chew, but I’d rather set goals and at least have some progression than none at all.
I hope that everyone has a great year planned of themselves and you all follow my journey. I will be talking more about my weight loss journey and keeping you updated bi-weekly as well as updated on my other goals. I know that 2015 will be my best year yet and I hope it will be yours too.
If you have any suggestions for helping me reach my goals or even sharing goals of your own – let me know in the comment section below!
