We’re getting closer to the frigid weather here in Canada, which means that it is time to find yourself the perfect parka. CMFR is a Canadian brand which stands for Cold Manufactured. The idea behind the brand is to provide functional outerwear designed for our Canadian winters, while still maintaining a high fashion look.
Fabric: Lightweight Dintex soft shell with thermoplastic polyurethane membrane backing and DWR (durable water repellent) finish, providing excellent resistance to water and wind while keeping the highest level of breathability.
Fill: 90/10 white duck down with 620+ power fill
- Modern bomber length cut.
- Detachable hood with removable Coyote fur trim.
- Water repellent silicon tape zipper.
- Heavy-duty 3-ply rib at waist, cuff and collar for maximum durability and wind resistance.
- 4 exterior pockets lined with fleece interior for comfort and warmth.
- 2 interior pockets for easy storage.
I wanted to personally give this jacket a tester before I talked about it, so that it came from a genuine and honest perspective. I have the Oxton Bomber jacket from CMFR, which retails for $750. What I really like about this jacket is that the brand offers better quality (not the same) then key competitors, with subtle branding and higher end finishes. I’ve tried several of the competitor brands out there and often the fur is falling out in store, or you can see down pulls through the lining. However, with this jacket, I have found no issues with it. Also, it’s light in weight, so you don’t feel like you’re being weighed down all day. It’s very warm, but still breathable, so I was able to wear it over-top my blazer, without breaking a sweat.
Would I recommend it?
I am sure that the title to this post gave the answer away, but yes. In fact, I would say that in terms of over all quality, the brand offers the best parka that I have tried underneath the $1500 range.
