The GO Transit #EtiquetteFail Book! Release Date & More!

Hey Prepsters,

As you may have heard, I have teamed up with GO Transit to help spread the word about their #EtiquetteFail campaign! GO Transit has been my personal mode of transportation for getting to my school in Toronto for over 5 years and I have experienced a million different etiquette fails! So as a person who relies on GO, I was super stoked when they wanted to get us who use the GO on a regular basis to speak up and share our experiences of seeing less than ideal etiquette on social media. Hopefully, this will get people to step up their etiquette game, helping to make riding the GO an enjoyable experience for all.

So early this year, GO Transit will be releasing the #EtiquetteFail book! The book is titled “Unwritten Rules of Public Transit Etiquette Written Down” and is a hilarious series of comics highlighting the most common etiquette fails and facts that people shared on social media! There are 11 chapters covering everything from people creating noise, sitting with their legs wide open, to eating inappropriate food options and more!

I don’t want to spoil the read by sharing too much but I wanted to share few interesting tid-bits I learned from the intro chapter! The first is that there are over 70 million riders on the GO Transit system every year, and with the hashtag #EtiquetteFail over 142,428 people shared their personal experiences! That is insane, but you can only imagine the impact of the hashtag in informing people on what they can do better in the future.

On Wednesday, January 24, GO Transit will be hosting a book launch at Union Station and selling copies of the #EtiquetteFail book! I can definitely say it is a great read, or even a hilarious gift to those who need a little bit of charm schooling!

Note! I will be giving away 3 copies of Unwritten Rules of Public Transit Etiquette Written Down, along with a PRESTO Card valued at $100 on my social media soon so stay tuned on those announcements! Don’t forget to continue to share your #EtiquetteFail(s) on twitter and tag @GOTransit!
