Hey Prepsters,
A gentleman’s accessory speaks volume in expressing his personal style and taste. Here is a list of some of the sharpest accessories every man should own!
1. Matching Tie-Bars and Cufflinks
Although I love wearing statement cufflinks or tie-bars. There’s simply nothing as elegant and sharp as wearing a luxurious matching set. I recommend finding a neutral tone which can be work with a variety of different colours and looks like the set I own from PK Subban’s collection for RW&CO.
2. Statement Bracelets
Bracelets tend to take a backseat to watches for men, however, these items can pack a punch on their own too. I have been in love with my Louis Vuitton Hockenheim bracelet, which boasts the brand’s LV hardware and signature monogramming.
3. Canvas Bags
Spring and summer calls for us to wear lighter fabrics… so why not invest in a cotton canvas bag? The Filson Original leather trimmed briefcase is made in the USA of high-quality fabrics and hardware. The famed olive-green back has become a staple for trendsetters and commuters.
4. The Ray-Ban Aviator
There’s simply no sunglass style as universally flattering and iconic as the Ray-Ban Aviator. I find myself wearing this style more than any other style in my arsenal because it just looks so damn good with everything!
5. Printed Ties
This spring/summer, invest in some beautifully printed neckties. I found a huge selection of affordable silk neckties at Moore’s Clothing (Menswear House in the States) from classic brands such as Joseph Abboud and Calvin Klein.
6. Braided/Woven Belts
This spring/summer season, try out a braided or woven belt! These belts add a little bit of extra character and suave to every look. I would recommend checking out Anderson’s Belts, which is probably the best-known brand when it comes to this category of belts!
7. Fulton Umbrella’s
If it’s good enough for the Royal family, it’s definitely good enough for the rest of us! Fulton’s high-quality umbrellas are uncomplicated yet classic. I personally own two pairs with the wooden handlebars for a more traditional British look.
8. The Bulova CURV Chronograph Watch
In 2016, BULOVA released the world’s first curved chronograph watch, appropriately named CURV. This has quickly become one of my favourite timepieces as it looks stunning, is unique, and feels extremely comfortable on my wrist.
9. Bold Wallets
Classic wallet tones are great, but this year, invest in a high-quality leather style with either a bold print, colour, pattern or interesting fabric choice to really make an impact. I am currently lusting over this red Balenciaga style from Mr. Porter.
10. Bandana’s as Ascots
We can thank Zara for bringing ascot’s back! I am obsessed with the idea of using a bold bandana in place of a traditional silk ascot for some added flair and a more casual appeal! You can find these at Zara at a price that won’t hurt to try.
