Hey Prepsters!
I am so stoked to share the most versatile suit that I personally own, by none other than Perry Ellis! What’s great about having a versatile suit is that it allows you to get the most use out of it. But I really think that a suit this versatile makes the perfect gift for any man! Whether it’s for yourself, your partner, a family member, or even a friend, a good suit is a necessity in every gents closet. In this post, I will share how I styled this perfecto suit, and how you can make it your own or customize a look, perfect for gift giving this Holiday season.
One thing that really drew me to this suit in particular, was that it was blue, but not a blue that you see everyday. This Perry Ellis creation has a beautiful slight texture added to it, which really adds an extra style element, which makes it great for being worn as separates, hence, making it my most versatile suit. The suit is available online here at Perry Ellis online website: The Perfecto Suit.
How I Styled It & How You Can Make It Your Own
I styled it in a very classic way, with a simple shirt, tie and dress loafer. Obviously, I plan on wearing this in more blog posts in the future, to showcase how versatile it is, and how I personally would style it. But I thought I would share a few tips on how you can style it, or if you would like, how you could pair it to make a very special gift set for a loved one.
Look One: My Look – The Classic Look
The look I wore was intended to be for the classic guy. Of course with this suit being a slim fit, it adds a much more appealing sillhouette for the regular traditionalist. To start the look, pick out a clean, crisp white shirt. This one that I am wearing if from Perry Ellis, but here’s a link to their white shirts to help you find the perfect style and fit for your man: Perry Ellis Men’s Dress Shirts. As much as I love a pocket square, I wanted to keep it super crisp, and went for just a necktie. I love the simplicity and elegance of the black/grey and white horizontal lines against the textured suit of this Perry Ellis tie. To complete the look, as mentioned earlier, I paired the outfit with a simple black dress loafer. Although going sockless may not be ideal for the winter season, I personally loved the no sock look with the classic minimalism of this look.
Look Two: The Creative Guy
Leave the shirt and tie behind, and slip under a sharp – comfortable shawl collar pullover sweater. It will definitely keep the gent warm, and is a perfect substitute for any guy – who works in a creative field. What I love about the one I picked out from Perry Ellis is that the colour block adds for an extra detail for when you pull of the blazer. If you’re daring, a sneaker with a suit is the biggest trend. Add this simple white Perry Ellis kicks to this suited look, paired with a pin and chambray pocket square to create a modern and chic look.
And that’s it folks! Stay tuned for more fun looks from my #31HoliDays blog series! PS: be sure to join myself, Perry Ellis, and my co-hosts for #Gentschat on twitter, on the first Monday of every month!
