Hey Prepsters,
As many you know, I am working with BULOVA and other brands; including an upcoming review on BULOVA’s Wittnauer brand, on watch reviews and releases, because like most men out there, I am a total watch fanatic. I am putting all of the watches to the test, in other words, I am trying out each watch for at least 1 week so that I can offer an honest and informative review.
The BULOVA (Ref: 97B150) that I am talking about today has become my everyday watch, quiet literally. I have had this timepiece for roughly 2 and a half months, and can’t take it off. The gold tone and simply elegant design works with every look, whether it is dressy or casual.
The BULOVA Surveyor is actually one of 5 lines that make up the current Accutron II line-up. But for a little background on Accutron; it was a sub-brand of BULOVA that originated in the 1960’s and was the release of the revolutionary electronic fork movement. Eventually the brand released the now famous Precisionist series, which I recently just reviewed, which featured elevated movement techniques, which are similar to that of a mechanical watch – which operates at a frequency of 262.144 kHz. In 2014, BULOVA released Accutron II at Baselworld, which took on the precisionist series movement – with a more minimal/lighter weight approach to design.
Thus leaving us here with the beautiful watch that I am wearing today. the Accutron II Surveyor 97B150. The Accutron II Surveyor series is bringing back the elegance of the 1960’s designs, with design updates suitable to 2015 of course. The gold-toned case and the silver dial work perfectly together.

Amazing review! I’m thinking of getting a Bulova right now. Perhaps I’ll go for an Accutron.
Send it to me and I ll put a better strap on it and you can review it again. I can;t promise I won t give it a test drive though!
