What to Wear on Valentines Day: Day to Night for HIM

For those lucky guys who found a date for their valentines day, I have put together to lookspirations (look inspiration) so that you can be at ease when it comes to deciding on what you should wear to win your dates heart and get lucky. I know that my personal everyday style is a little more refined and metro for most women, so I chose to stick to a refined rugged look for my dates. The key is to have a refined element such as a shirt, and throw in more relaxed elements like casual jackets. In the first look, I put together the denim jacket from J.Crew, a plaid shirt, olive chinos and brogues from Grenson. The look for a day-time date should be a little more relaxed than a night time look. You definitely want to be comfortable and stick to breathable fabrics to avoid getting sweaty (such as cotton). Also, bring some nice bling like this Uniformware watch and Tod’s sunnies (no tacky dollar store items).

If you are going for a night-time date, go for a comfortable refined look. No blazers! So try a simple (nothing crazy & flashy) leather jacket like the one above from Danier Leather. However, amp it up with a shirt, tie and dress trousers. For the shoes, I wouldn’t go for a complete dress shoe as the first option, pick a pair that’s highly polished in a more relaxed format, such as the ones above, or you can go for shoes like Lunargrand from Cole Haan.

I hope these tips helped and I wish you all good luck!
