A First look at the Lacoste SS18 collection

A few days ago, I attended the Lacoste SS18 Press Day event and had a first look at what’s to come from the brand next year! From new textures and also nods to different eras of the 90’s, this definitely has to be one of my favourite collections from the French Heritage brand. Here are a few highlights of the collection:

THE FASHION SHOW COLLECTION

In commemoration of the 85th anniversary of Lacoste, the brand returned to Paris Fashion Week and showcased iconic silhouettes, styles and pieces. The new “Chantaco” accessories feature a leather, replicating the texture of Lacoste’s signature pique fabric.

MODERN HERITAGE | ARRIVING JAN 24 – FEB 27

The first wave will reinvent the sporting glamour of the 1930’s with a modern twist. Boasting clean, graphic lines, natural colours; the modern heritage delivery will be redefine easy to wear athleisure pieces with a tough of French elegance. Additionally the brand has collaborated with tennis player Novak Djokovic to create a beautiful collection of tennis wear.

SPRING BLOOM | ARRIVING MAR 28 – MAY 1

The second delivery from the brand is my personal fave! It combines 90’s elements with contemporary, casual styles. From lightweight seersucker, a petit pique, denim and bright/fresh colours, you will definitely feel spring ready.

THE WALL OF POLOS

The new polo collection features new styles, colours, fabrics and a new collar. The new ‘Le Paris Polo’ is a great substitute for a dress shirt in the spring/summer season thanks to it’s placqueted buttoning, new stretch fabric which looks like a shirt (but feels like a polo) and reinforced collar.

LACOSTE L!VE

Lacoste L!VE is a ‘label within the label’ but with a more contemporary modern streets style approach. The brand had collaborated with popular street brand, Supreme, in the past and has pieces which are inspired from their prior partnership.

MY LACOSTE SUMMER | FOOTWEAR

My Lacoste Summer is the new footwear collection coming in SS18, made to appeal the sun-loving, free-spirited and coastal dweller. I loved their sneakers, sandals and slides which will be arriving in beautiful spring colours! My personal favourite shoe from the Lacoste SS18 lineup has to be the blush pink sneaker for men.
