Warming up to the cool weather with Joe Fresh

Hey Prepsters,

As it becomes frigid in Canada, I have been putting together tons of new looks & warming up to the cool weather. Although I have lived here in Oakville for almost 13 years, I always find it to be a challenge to transition into the winter season. Especially with the unpredictability of this unseasonably warm climate we’re in. Some days, I throw on a chunky knit sweater and leave the coat behind, to much regret, and other days; I find myself needing to take off layers throughout the day. So I said, why not throw together an easy everyday look, where I can easily layer my look to adjust to the fluctuating temperatures. I put together this cozy and affordable look with Joe Fresh, that any guy can rock.

I started off this look with a simple plaid button down shirt and paired it with Joe Fresh’s infamous chino in Navy. Now if you haven’t tried on Joe Fresh’s chinos before, than you’re missing out big time! Fun fact, my first ever self-purchased Chinos were actually from Joe Fresh… how’s that for a throwback. The combination makes for an easy base for any look, and quiet frankly, it can be worn all year round. For the footwear, I wanted to keep it quiet neutral and simple. I put on these amazing faux suede chukka boots in a beautiful sand-tone.

To add some winter layering elements, I threw on this perfecto green puffer jacket, also by Joe Fresh. I call it a perfecto jacket, simply because it has the perfect amount of filling to be warn for multiple different looks! You’re hearing it here first, but this December I will be rocking it under my grey topcoat, to showcase how versatile it is!

Lastly, to further accessorize the look, I paired the look with a tan scarf from Polo Ralph Lauren, a watch from Brathwait, leather gloves from Dents, a Jack Spade portfolio bag and the always classic Ray Ban wayfarer.

What’s so great about the look is that as the weather fluctuates throughout the day, all you really have to do is eliminate one (or all) of the elements; and when it gets cooler again, you simply re-add it to the look. So no matter what, you’re looking sharp – all day long.
